Hey,
I'm new to this community and not in BC yet.
I will be in the Katimavik program from November 23-August 23. If you havent heard of it, it is basically a program where a group of 11 17-21 year olds go to three different provinces for 3 months each and volunteer, you live with those 10 other people for the whole 9 months.
Anyways, one of my rotations is in Salmon Arm, BC. I know nothing of this place, so any info would be really helpful, even if it's just to say that the weather is nice. I am from Ottawa, Ontario by the way.
Thanks,
Amber

Salmon Arm is about 5 hours northeast of Vancouver. It's in the middle of some absolutely beautiful mountains, and that's pretty much all I know.

Salmon Arm is really pretty and has a cute downtown. If you get a chance to visit Shuswap Lake, do it. Especially if you are there in the summer, because it's a super warm lake. Nearby Adams River is really good for whitewater rafting.
